The Main Street

The Main Street is the primary commercial and entertainment artery of Ramallah. It forms a vital extension starting from Al-Manara Square and stretching down to Downtown Ramallah. The street retains a lively, popular character that blends between the old and new. With the expansion of commercial and service activities beyond the Old Town, the street came to host a wide range of traditional and modern shops, from clothing, fashion, and shoes stores to household goods, cafés and restaurants. It is also home to dozens of eateries offering fast food such as shawarma, falafel, and sweets, featuring the well-known Rukab Ice Cream shop, established in 1941.
