This park was the culmination of the first Ramallah marathon in 2009 and was established on a four dunum plot. The Department of Architectural Engineering at Birzeit University provided several designs prepared by students for the park which includes outdoor sports equipments for both adults and children, playgrounds, a multi-purpose hall, a cafeteria, bathrooms, an ice-skating rink, and a basketball court. All of the park rides were made locally and were constructed according to international standards.
